The Santa Clara River Parkway Floodplain Restoration Feasibility Study was designed to assist the California State Coastal Conservancy and its partners with the acquisition, management, and eventual restoration of lands within the Parkway.

Specific elements of the Feasibility Study include (1) a synthesis of existing studies to provide an understanding of physical processes (hydrology and geomorphology), habitat dynamics, and biological resources within the watershed, with a focus on the lower, Ventura County-portion of the river corridor, (2) an assessment of opportunities and constraints to restoration in the Parkway, (3) the development of a set of restoration strategies, for use in site-specific restoration planning efforts within the Parkway, and, (4) an assessment of restoration feasibility given existing constraints.

The Feasibility Study was informed by a number of Parkway- and watershed-specific investigations, including water resources, riparian vegetation mapping and classification, geomorphic processes, riparian vegetation extent and dynamics, and focal species habitat. Reports from these investigations, as well as much of the corresponding spatial data, are provided through the links below.
